Distracted Driving continues

As technological advances continue, it is expected that we will continue to see an increase in traffic accidents. It is common to see drivers talking on their cell phones, texting, using their navigational systems, or changing the radio station. Yet the insurance companies do not take responsibility for their insured’s actions.  Distracted driving is scary.  Distracted driving is deadly.  Distracted driving is increasing among our teenage drivers and our adult drivers.  Driving while intoxicated is no longer the only form of “distracted driving”.

Now, motorists are attempting to multitask while on the roadway.  I have been driving on highways and seen people: dialing on their cell phone, on the internet, sending text messages, eating, applying make-up, shaving, changing the radio station, reading a map, adjusting the GPS. It has to stop.  Let’s work together to reduce the number of distracted driving-related car crashes now.
